The bags take their inspiration from the modernization of old harbours, as it has unfolded in many cities: the old exteriors intact, but the original function – storing and unloading goods - replaced by modern offices and apartments. The "dock workers" of today don’t haul sacks anymore; they carry briefcases and purses. The leather purses enclosed inside a canvas exterior allude to the harbour’s former self.
